Carrie Gallant, B.A. (Psych), J.D.

Carrie is proud to be co-author of Conversation Secrets for Tomorrow’s Leaders: 21 Secrets Leaders Do Not Use Enough, ranked as an Amazon #2 Bestseller and #1 Hot New Release in Business Leadership.

Carrie is an international executive and leadership coach, facilitator, trainer, mediator and former practicing lawyer who enjoys helping her clients master their personal influencing power and leadership competencies in communication, persuasion, negotiation, and conflict management while developing and maintaining their integrity and authenticity.

She works globally as a Negotiation Consultant with ENS International, providing strategic consulting for client negotiation teams and skills training workshops. She has worked with multi-national companies in the mining and resource sectors, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare and food packaging industries, as well as federal, provincial and state governments.

Her approachable and fun-loving style is paired with solidly-researched content and adult-learning techniques. Carrie regularly adapts tools and techniques from improvisational and forum theatre, which she studied with Theatre Sports and Theatre for Living in Vancouver. She joined the production team as the legal consultant for North America’s first known legislative theatre production, Practicing Democracy.

Carrie received her core coach training with the Adler School of Professional Coaching (now Adler Learning) in Toronto and specialized executive career coach training with Career Coach Institute (now the Inspired Business Institute). She is a qualified assessor of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®).

In previous senior leadership roles, Carrie was a member of the Executive teams for the Justice Institute of BC (as Director of the Centre for Conflict Resolution) and the Ontario Pay Equity Commission (as Chief Legal Counsel). She has also been Board President/Chair for the CoRe Conflict Resolution Society of BC and Bloor Information and Legal Services in Toronto.

Passionate about sharing knowledge and teaching others, Carrie was an adjunct professor at UBC Faculty of Law for nine years, and previously at the Universities of Toronto and Windsor, and York University. She is a mentor to law student mediators and futurpreneurs, and previously mentored with the Women in Leadership Foundation and the YWCA Connect to Success programs.

She is also frequently invited to be a speaker and facilitator at conferences throughout North America, including an invitation by the White House to speak at the 25th Anniversary of the Women’s Bureau of the Department of Labour. She treasures her Christmas card from the Clintons.
